NITA Annual Conference 2024
The highly anticipated NITA Conference is set to take place on September 26, 2024, at the iconic ICC Belfast, just a day before World Tourism Day. This year’s global theme, “Tourism and Peace,” couldn’t be more timely or relevant.
Following last year’s celebration of the 25th Anniversary of the Good Friday Agreement—a milestone that highlighted tourism as a key driver of positive change—we’re now poised to dive even deeper. Join us as we explore how tourism can be a powerful force in fostering peace, bridging divides, and promoting reconciliation across communities, cultures, and traditions. This is a unique opportunity to envision how tourism can continue to shape a brighter, more united future for the region.
The conference will also feature an engaging panel discussion with Council CEOs, who will share insights on the pivotal role councils play in driving regional tourism growth. We’ll explore their strategies for investing in product and experience development, engaging with local communities, and fostering collaboration across council boundaries to create a thriving tourism landscape.
We are thrilled to announce that the Minister for the Economy, Conor Murphy, will deliver a keynote address, providing valuable perspectives on the future of tourism in Northern Ireland.
But that’s not all—this year’s conference will also kick off the inaugural Tourism and Hospitality Week! In partnership with Tourism NI and Hospitality Ulster, we’re excited to bring you a week-long celebration packed with events across Northern Ireland, featuring the incredible people and businesses that make our industry shine.
