Video marketing for tourism events
In this suite of videos we explore the key elements of video marketing that will help you produce strong video content for your event, which will help it stand out and ensure its success.
Video marketing has grown immensely particularly in recent times, and is considered a fundamental marketing tool. Visitors have come to expect this type of content which allows you to connect with and showcase your event to a wide audience.
The topics are broken down into separate videos so you can dip in and out as time allows. Videos are between 8 and 24 minutes long.
Module 1 - Why is video so important?
In this module we introduce to you the key elements needed to produce great video content for your event. We will look at video production, video editing, video marketing and everything in between.
Module 2 – Creating a video strategy/content plan
It has never been more important to create a video content strategy. This not only helps to promote your event but also engage with the consumer, keeping your event at the forefront of the consumer’s mind.
Module 3 – Simple video production tips and equipment
We know that budgets can be tight in the current climate, but we also know that video can be so effective at capturing audience attention. In this module we provide tips on how to create a professional and targeted video, using equipment you may already have available.
Module 4 – What videos work?
In this module we will look at different video styles and what type of videos work well for promoting and showcasing tourism events, promoting different aspects of the experience. It is important to use a variety of video styles before, during and after the event to attract an audience and keep them engaged in the longer term.
Module 5 – Simple editing tips
We look at how to research keywords to help you optimise your written content. This is an essential part of any content creation strategy to ensure your audience can easily find the information they are looking for.
Module 6 – Video Marketing
In this module we consider how you can market your videos once they’ve been produced. This includes advice on where they should be uploaded, how you can optimise them for search functons, how can you promote them to engage with your audience.
Module 7: Case Studies and Best Practice
It’s always great to see what others have done and learn from their experience. In this module we look at a number of case studies for different sized events to help show how you can use videos strategically, keeping video marketing central to your marketing plan and budget.
