Content marketing for tourism events
This course delves into why content creation is so important and leads you through how to create a content strategy, develop ideas, and produce good online marketing content.
Content creation has been found to be six times more effective than other digital marketing methods in influencing audiences, with some businesses finding up to a 60% increase in ticket sales after posting a blog. 75% of businesses found content creation highly valuable for sales, lead generation, and customer engagement. These courses are specifically aimed at the events industry, to provide you with the expertise to create good content, connect with audiences, build brand awareness, and promote your event.
The topics are broken down into separate videos so you can dip in and out as time allows. Videos are between 7 and 15 minutes long.
Module 1 – Why is Content Creation so Important?
Content creation is the one form of marketing that provides a great return on investment. Content is always there working hard for you. In this course we look at how to create good content, how to optimise it, and how to connect with key audiences, as well as measure success.
Module 2 - Creating a Content Strategy
Careful planning is key to optimise reach and engagement with your audience. It is important to think of short term and long-term goals for the specific event you are advertising. We will run through example goals you may want to consider.
Module 3 - Telling a Great Story with Content
Telling your brand’s story is much more than what you write on your blog or website - it’s your brand vision, mission and values and how you communicate that to your audience. Find out how to create a human connection and create an emotional engagement with your consumers to achieve higher sales and reach a wider audience.
Module 4 - Content Creation Ideas
In this module we look at how to generate new ideas for content to entertain and educate your audience. This will help you to think about who you are targeting and customer engagement. We provide examples of great ideas for promoting an event.
Module 5 – Optimising written content for SEO
We look at how to research keywords to help you optimise your written content. This is an essential part of any content creation strategy to ensure your audience can easily find the information they are looking for.
Module 6 - Measuring and Analysing Content
In this module we help you understand the importance of measuring and analysing your content. It is important to set out marketing goals to help you to target and organise your content and allow for an element of measuring success. Measuring success is commonly required by funders, so this is vital for many events.
